Advanced Rehab Physical Therapy Clinic is expanding! With the
support of patients, physicians and practitioners the clinic is
hiring more physical therapists. Practice owner, Sandra Marston
says, "I am grateful to have the ability to progress Advanced Rehab
and be able to help more people in Helena." Sandra will soon be the
only physical therapist in Helena with an Advanced Post
Professional Doctoral Degree (DscPT) with specialization in manual
therapy.
Marston says, "It's amazing how much information, knowledge and
techniques have changed since I earned my Masters 12 years ago. I
have faith that what I bring to my patients is the most current,
and clinically sound."
Advanced Rehab is also the first physical therapy clinic to use
Pilates methods in the healing process and is a full Pilates
studio. Sandra says, "We have helped people recover from herniated
discs, increase bone density and rehab shoulders, hips, knees and
more using this method." Mat Pilates is not recommended for all
people, but on the specialized equipment originally designed by
Joseph Pilates, exercises can be modified to meet all different
body types and injuries for safety, recovery and fitness.
Advanced Rehab is also the only nationally recognized training
site for Pilates instructors in Montana and offers classes to the
public. This program is also expanding to meet the requests for
more classes with more training dates for new instructors. Advanced
Rehab has a full studio with all of the specialized equipment.
Pilates has been written up in magazines for its meditative
benefits as well as its fitness and rehab benefits because it
requires focused breathing, awareness of posture and form. Sandra
states, "You don't have to live with pain, there are sound,
up-to-date treatment options, AND exercise should not hurt."
