The 2025 Townsend Rotary Fall Fest is right around the corner, bringing three full days of fun, food, music and community celebration to the heart of Broadwater County. Scheduled for October 3–5 at Heritage Park and throughout downtown Townsend, this year’s festival promises something for everyone—whether you’re a kid, a classic car enthusiast or just in search of good food and great music.
Endless Fun for Kids
Fall Fest is the ultimate family-friendly event, packed with entertainment for kids of all ages. Held at Townsend’s scenic Heritage Park, the festival’s playground is a highlight—featuring swings, slides, climbing toys, a sandbox and plenty of open space to run and play.
Beyond the playground, local organizations and vendors are bringing in even more kid-friendly attractions. Bounce houses and inflatable rides offer high-energy fun, while face painting stations will let little ones transform into their favorite characters. Games and surprise activities throughout the weekend ensure nonstop excitement for young festivalgoers.
Live Music, Food and Cars for Adults
While the kids play, adults can explore an impressive lineup of food vendors, artisan booths and live entertainment. Over the three days, musicians from across Montana and beyond will take the stage at Heritage Park, delivering a soundtrack that ranges from country to folk to rock.
One of the biggest draws is Townsend’s renowned car show, one of the largest in Montana, featuring rows of classic cars, hot rods and custom vehicles. The show draws auto enthusiasts from across the region and offers something for car lovers of every age.
To kick off car show day, the Townsend Volunteer Fire Department will host its traditional pancake breakfast at 130 S. Cedar St., just two blocks east of Heritage Park.
The Townsend Chamber of Commerce also adds to the weekend spirit with its annual Fall Decoration Contest. Businesses throughout Main Street will be decked out in creative autumn displays, making a stroll through downtown as festive as it is fun.
A True Community Celebration
The Townsend Rotary Fall Fest isn’t just an event—it’s a community tradition. With support from local organizations, volunteers and businesses, the weekend offers a welcoming atmosphere and activities for the whole family.
Admission is free, and everyone is invited to come out and celebrate the season. Organizers kindly ask attendees to leave pets at home—Fido will have to sit this one out.
