Behind two top-10 finishes in the men’s 10-kilometer freestyle by Tyler Reinking and Pat Madden and a seventh-place showing in the women’s 10-kilometer race via Jessica Yeaton, the Montana State ski team moved up a spot into fourth at the University of New Mexico Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Reinking, a Bobcat All-American, covered the course in 25:48.2 to finish fifth overall and garner 39 points for the squad. He was followed by Pat Madden, 10th, 26:05.8, and Luke Bromley, 15th, 27:08.3.

Utah’s Miles Havlick won the men’s title in 24:17.7.

On the women’s side, the Bobcats were led by Yeaton, a 2012 NCAA national qualifier.

CU’s Joanne Reid continued her torrid pace this season for the Buffaloes, winning the women’s event in 28:37.9.
