HELENA -- Scott Hirschi's 300 game, and an 817 series by Eric Groth, led the latest group of high bowling league scores at Sleeping Giant Lanes.
Hirschi's perfecto was the fourth 300 of the season at SGL. Groth's 817 - games of 259, 290 and 268 -- is the fourth-highest series by a local kegler achieved in the Capital City, behind Travers Cox's 835, and Doug Prewett's 827 and 820.
The next top series during the past six weeks belonged to Jim Grigsby, who fired a 778. He was followed Ryan Collick at 765, Perry Turpin and George Cotton, both with 762s, and Brady Kirkeby with a 760.
Among the high games were Ryan Collick's 286, and four bowlers with 280s, including George Cotton, Broson Brown, Larry Anderson and Tevin Charlton.
On the women's side Kim Bolan shot a 279, matching her mother Danielle's high from last year. Danielle recently rolled a 268, followed by Jenny Chambers' 258, and a 248 by Misti Nettleton. Chambers owns the high series at SGL over the last six weeks with a 676. Nettleton is next at 628, ahead of Terri Johnson's 615.
Leroy Much owns the Senior men's top game, rolling a 258. He's ahead of Ron Briggeman's 257, a 256 by John Davis and Vern Wingerter at 247. The high series belongs to Davis at 755, followed by Wingerter's 671 and Much with a 659.
Sylvia Bailey paced the Senior women's league over the last month and a half, with a 217 game. Next is Sherryl Vaughn at 194. The top series mark belongs to Marlene Dupree, and Bailey, at 549 and 540.
