Six local AA volleyball players -- four from two-time state champion Capital High and two from runner-up Helena High -- have been selected to the all-state first team.

Leading the way for the undefeated Bruins was 6-foot-3 junior blocker Paige Bartsch, who also garnered Western AA Player of the Year honors.

Joining her are CHS teammates Sarah Ashley, a 5-10 senior outside hitter; 5-8 junior setter Audrey Hofer; and 6-1 junior outside hitter, and Paige's twin, Dani Bartsch.

Ashley is now a three-time all-stater, while Paige and Hofer have twice made the team.

Representing the Bengals on the first team are 5-9 senior setter Emily Feller and 6-0 junior middle blocker Elizabeth Heuiser. This is Feller's second appearance as an all-stater.

All of the above made first team all-conference, as well.

Helena High's second team all-conference selections are senior libero Haydin Henschel and senior outside hitter Abby Marcille.

Those listed as honorable mention all-conference were Capital's Maddi Davis and Helena's Caroline Bullock and Brooke Ark.
