The Helena High boys placed second at the 10-team Butte swim meet on Saturday, scoring 397 points behind winner Missoula Hellgate's 433 points. Capital High placed fourth with 168 points.
The Knights swept both divisions, winning the girls meet with 688 points. Helena and Capital placed fourth and fifth, at 154 and 153 points, respectively.
Franny Redpath of Helena was the only local winner, capturing the girls 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.17. She also placed third in the 200 IM.
Bengal boys placing runner-up were Robert Wagner, in both the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly; Parker Keller in the 100 breaststroke; Jacob Malaski in the 500 freestyle; and Christion Goetz in the 200 free.
Third-place finishers were HHS' Emma Krattiger in the 50 free and Keller in the 200 free; and Capital's Kate Sheafor in the 500 free.
Local swimmers finishing fourth were Maija Geier (CHS) in the 100 free and 100 back; and Quade Oser (HHS) in the boys 100 breast.
Hellgate's Jesse Eklund, who started her career at Helena High, won the girls 500 free.
The Helena boys' relays brought home seconds on all three races -- the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relay. The Lady Bruins 200 free relay finished third.
