The Helena Reps placed runner-up at the annual Cloninger Classic American Legion baseball tournament, losing to the Lethbridge Miners 9-2 in the championship game on Sunday.
The Reps and Miners both went 4-1 in the five-team Class A tourney at Kindrick Legion Field, with Helena winning the first meeting between the two teams on Friday.
In the final, Lethbridge built a 7-1 lead after four innings and then maintained the advantage for the victory.
The Canadians outhit the hosts 13-4, led by Logan King (stolen base, two runs) and Kale Moser (double, three RBIs) with three hits apiece.
Chase Nielsen had two base knocks and an RBI for coach Dane Broadhead's Reps, while teammate Ethan Keintz drove in the other run.
King pitched the win, and Rudy Barkley sustained the loss.
