Golden Triangle Gymnastics hosted the 2019 Rocky Mountain Cup and Gym406 came away with a team win. The Level 3 team captured first place led by the continued excellent all-around performance of Brooklyn Smith. Smith scored 36.60 while also winning 3 event in her age group.
Smith was followed by Lily Yearrym who placed second all-around and won the floor exercise with a 9.125. Macie Eveland scored and 34.025 to capture fourth all-around and Nevaeh Weninger captured third on on uneven bars and floor.
At Level 4 Kenna Moore led the charge with her best all-around finish of the season. Moore finished second in the all around and scored 8.85 to win the vault. Bella Yearry came away with the floor championship and a third all-around, while Marlie Hammond placed first on the balance beam with a 9.025. Bailey Olds continued to improve and added to the Level 4 team score, helping them to finish in second place.
Level 6 Grace Crandell won the balance beam and teammate Samaire Gittings added a second-place finish on floor. Level 7 all-around was captured by Cerenity Wheeler and Emma Rohrer-Fitzhugh took second place, while winning balance beam. Level 8 Liliy Bohler, Level 9 Reese Esponda and Level 10 Mikelle Ballard all competed uncontested, while working on improving their all around scores.
The Gym406 optional team will next compete at the prestigious SCEGA California Classic in San Diego against gymnasts from all across the U. S., Canada, Mexico and other nations.
