Matt Wyman, Ryan Imhoff and Oliver Carr combined to score 52 points and the Carroll College Saints defeated St. Francis of Illinois 67-48 Friday night in Joliet, Illinois.

“Really impressed with our guys’ ability to grind out a true road win,” Saints coach Carson Cunningham said. “This was a fun, physical affair and the Fighting Saints responded.”

Wymann led the Saints (4-0) with 18 points on 6 of 10 shooting. He also snared four rebounds, dished four assists and recorded three steals.

Imhoff and Carr each scored 17 points. Imhoff added 10 rebounds and four steals.

Carr’s 17 points came on 8 of 9 shooting from the field.

“Carr and Imhoff managed to assert themselves in the paint, in particular, and Wyman flew around like a bee with hot sauce,” Cunningham said. “Our guards handled the full court press and extended 1-3-1 zone nicely. It’ll be nice now to get a couple home games.”

The Saints shot 54 percent from the field.

The Saints took a 36-28 lead into halftime and also outscored St. Francis 31-29 in the second half.

Carroll's next game comes on Nov. 17 against Our Lake of the Lake University in Helena.
