BOZEMAN — Oliana Squires scored 17 points and shot 4 for 5 from 3-point range as Montana State defeated South Dakota Mines 84-55 in an exhibition game Friday at Worthington Arena.
The Bobcats made 14 3-pointers and shot 50.8 percent overall from the floor. Madeline Smith had 10 points and 10 rebounds for MSU, which won two nights after beating Montana Tech in a its first exhibition contest.
Montana State will play its regular-season opener Friday in Los Angeles against USC.
Freshman Laura Pranger came off the bench to score 11 points for the Bobcats. Senior point guard Hannah Caudill dished out five assists.
Cooper Courtney’s 19 points paced South Dakota Mines, an NCAA Division II team from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
