BOWIE, Md. (AP) -- Ademar Rifaela hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning, leading the Bowie Baysox to a 2-1 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Wednesday.
The home run by Rifaela scored Rylan Bannon to break a scoreless tie.
Binghamton answered in the next half-inning when Patrick Mazeika hit a solo home run to get within one.
Tanner Chleborad (1-2) got the win in relief while Binghamton starter Harol Gonzalez (3-1) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
Ruben Tejada doubled and singled twice for the Rumble Ponies.
