The Helena Senators swept a nonconference American Legion doubleheader over the Bitterroot Bucs on Sunday afternoon at Kindrick Legion Field. The Senators won the first game 5-4 and took the second game 12-0.

Chase Nielsen pitched a five-inning complete-game for the win in the second game. He struck out three and walked none.

The Senators (9-4) had eight hits with two each by Ethan Keintz, Ryan Barrett and Seth Barrett. The big inning was a seven-run fourth.

The Bucs out-hit the Senators in the first game 10-7, but Helena's hits and the three walks collected were timely. Zach Spiroff and Matt Krieger had two hits each.

Krieger picked up the win with 3.2 innings of middle relief. Peyton Witham struck out the last batter for the save.
