Road to open

Snowplows have cleared the route from the South Entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

Weather-permitting, Yellowstone National Park's South Entrance as well as other select roads inside the park will open on Friday, May 10.

The South Entrance to West Thumb, Lake Village to West Thumb, West Thumb to Old Faithful (Craig Pass), and Tower Junction to Tower Fall will all open on Friday, at 8 a.m. to motorists.

The current status of park roads can be found online, at visitor centers, and by calling 307-344-2117. To receive Yellowstone road alerts on your mobile phone, text "82190" to 888-777 (an automatic text reply will confirm receipt and provide instructions)
