I've been reading the reporting in the IR on the debates between the Republican primary candidates, one of which will oppose Senator Tester in November. There is a theme emerging from these debates and that theme was expressed again in a Reader's Alley letter on Wednesday, May 9. The theme is that Sen. Tester doesn't have Montana values or that "Jon Tester, who doesn't vote Montana values." I have two thoughts on this. First, I want to know exactly what "Montana values" are, and second, I would suggest to those using this newfound phrase from the Republican lexicon that they should not confuse values with opinions. That is quite an important distinction.
