Recently I saw the opponents of I-186 came out with a new commercial starring a representative from Butte and a senator from Colstrip. The ironic thing about using two legislators as your messengers against a ballot initiative, is that it is because of their failure to pass common sense mining regulation during the legislature, that a citizen’s ballot initiative is even necessary. Their inaction has allowed foreign mining interests to come to Montana, take our natural resources, go bankrupt and leave a polluted mess. Leaving Montana taxpayers with the cleanup, forever. As citizens of Montana, it is time to do the legislature's job for them and hold hard rock mining companies accountable. Vote yes on I-186.
