Walter Mondale was a great man and a gentleman. I had the great pleasure of meeting him. He was welcoming, and it pleased me that he was forgiving. The project I was trying to help him with had failed, but he thanked me for my efforts. He then said, “Please relax. Enjoy this limo that your organization has rented.” I promptly ordered a scotch. Rest In Peace, Fritz.
