Sixty-four years ago last month, SCOTUS decided in Brown v. Board of Education that separation of children from their school-age peers based solely on race (segregation), would generate feelings of inferiority about their place in society “that may affect their hearts and minds in a way unlikely ever to be undone”. Imagine carefully then, how much greater the feelings of young children will be affected, not by separation from their peers but by being forcibly torn from their parents, their family, and sequestered for who knows how long without the nurture and care that only a family can provide. Look at your children and grandchildren. Then join me in facing Washington and saying loudly enough for somebody in power to hear — my country does NOT kidnap children.
