With due respect to our mayor, I recently read an article about your announcement to run against Sen. Daines. It said, among other things, that our state should exalt public service over politicians. This statement was attributed to you.
Agreed. We elected you to publicly serve as mayor of Helena. You are less than half finished with your term and apparently ready to move on. To me, that smacks of political opportunism.
Many of us supported you because we thought the administration of Helena was getting a bit "tired" and that your energy might evoke positive change. We were hopeful that a fresh perspective might be useful to creatively dealing with important municipal issues.

This voter believes that drinking one's own Kool Aid is more likely to bloat than flush. Please assure us that you have the time to serve effectively as mayor while you are on the campaign trail.
