I agree with our need to reform entitlements. Few of us boomers (I’m 69) recognize the degree of self-indulgence many in our cohort enjoy. Social Security should not be underwriting multiple homes, vehicles, vacations (snowbirding!) when our truly vulnerable citizens live in desperation.
We also need to reform the profiteering in many kinds of medical services. As a cancer survivor, I have noticed that patients can become an income stream. And then there is the reality that factory farming, plastic packaging, untested chemicals in common use, etc., have created an environment that promotes chronic illness and imbalances on many levels.
Come on, boomers. Let’s downsize, simplify and notice how we can contribute to the common good.
