The IR reported recently that some people in the beer industry are upset at the new tax bill that gives them significant monetary breaks while there are so many others in need whose help is being cut. Let me point out the obvious: There’s nothing that says the beer industry cannot give its unexpected windfall to those in need. Why is financial aid considered the sole prerogative of the government? America’s strength has always been volunteerism, one person helping another person. The mother with two handicapped adult sons mentioned earlier in the paper could certainly use the beer industry’s help, for instance. Wake up. Think outside the box. In times of trouble, people help one another. Beer industry: This is an opportunity!
