DEER LODGE (AP) — Authorities charged a Powell County sheriff's deputy Thursday with felony aggravated promotion of prostitution.

William Henry, 40, of Garrison, was in an undisclosed county jail with bail set at $250,000, Sheriff Scott Howard said in a statement.

Henry, who has been with department for four years, has been suspended without pay, Howard said.

The case involves a boy of undisclosed age in prostitution that occurred from 2002 into this year, the sheriff said.

Howard, who deferred questions to the state attorney general, said the case will be prosecuted by state Chief Criminal Counsel John Connor.
