The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a high wind warning Tuesday for a swath of central Montana including the Helena area.
An approaching upper level disturbance and cold front will bring strong winds across the area. The warning is in effect from noon until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Areas in the high wind warning could see gusts near 60 mph this afternoon into the early evening. The remaining areas could still see breezy winds, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph.

Areas impacted include Cascade, central and southern Lewis and Clark, Judith Basin and Meagher counties. Cities impacted include Helena, Lincoln, Great Falls, Cascade, Belt, Stanford and White Sulphur Springs.
Difficult driving conditions are possible, especially for high profile vehicles and light weight trailers.
