Montana's case numbers appear to be totally unreliable. In Southwest Montana, particularly Butte, the healthcare providers are not giving covid testing, while seeing a big uptick in "pneumonia" and even healthcare workers are denied covid testing. The illness is rampant in Butte but the numbers stay stuck at 11 cases. There was no trust in the local public health system before this happened. Now, we have clear proof that they are cooking the books on case loads and public health.
How does anecdotal observation provide clear proof? All healthcare systems have their weaknesses. I am aware that many professionals are doing as well as they can under the circumstances. Perhaps you prefer the professionalism of NYC, New Orleans, Detroit or Chicago. Perhaps you prefer to work on the front lines instead of watching Netflix. The medicine and be worse than the cure i.e. Overreaction is also a problem.
