Montana Gov. Steve Bullock announced that Deputy Chief of Staff Ali Bovingdon will serve as his new chief of staff.
Bovingdon, a Chinook native, replaces Tom Lopach, who has taken a position with Bullock’s presidential campaign, his office said. Bovingdon has served with Bullock since he was elected as attorney general.
Bullock also announced other staff changes in his office.
Adam Schafer, senior adviser, will now serve as deputy chief of staff. Schafer, a Billings native, previously worked as deputy commissioner of securities and insurance and chief of staff to former state Auditor Monica Lindeen.
Erin Loranger will serve as press secretary. Loranger was the public information officer at the Department of Labor and Industry and previously worked as a reporter at the Independent Record.
