Suspect vehicle in mail thefts

Sheriff's office warns public about mail thefts

The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office is warning the public about possible mail thieves operating in the Helena area.

Sheriff Leo Dutton said via e-mail that there have been several mail thefts in the county in recent days, with one suspect prying open secured mailboxes. 

Dutton was able to provide one description of an alleged thief's vehicle, a dark-colored Chevrolet Z71 extended cab pickup with a partial plate number of 3-5669C.
