  • At 12:06 p.m. an officer responded to the 100 block of Reeder’s Alley for a report of a female at that location with a valid arrest warrant. The 27-year-old Helena woman was identified and arrested for the warrant. She was booked into the county jail.
  • At 12:32 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Oregon for a report of a physical altercation between a male and female. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 53-year-old Helena-area man was cited for assault. He was referred to Municipal Court.

The Helena Police Department responded to 125 calls for service. Of those calls, they responded to four vehicle crashes, six disorderly calls, 13 animal calls, six theft calls, four welfare checks, nine suspicious circumstance calls, and conducted 32 traffic stops.

As of Wednesday morning, the county jail held 80 inmates (73 for felonies and seven for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 88 inmates at various detention facilities. There are 95 clients currently being serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 49 are on PBT (Personal Breath Test), 32 are on SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet), three are on GPS and 11 are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 297 clients.
