Sept. 29

  • At 6:08 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Jackson Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation into the matter led to a 20-year-old male being issued a citation for underage possession of alcohol. He was referred to Helena Municipal Court. For the disturbance that was originally reported, there was only one person at the residence and the only disturbance was the one person yelling inside of the residence.
  • At 9:03 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Glendale for a report of a criminal mischief. Investigation into the matter led to a 21-year-old male being issued a citation for criminal mischief. He was referred to Helena Municipal Court.

Sept. 30

  • At 5:52 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of Billings Avenue for a report of a disturbance. The officer located all parties involved in the disturbance. Investigation into the matter led to a 43-year-old female being placed under arrest for a probation violation and felony possession of dangerous drugs. She was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.

The Helena Police Department responded to 90 calls for service including nine non-injury crashes, one injury crash, three animal calls, two assault calls, eight citizen assists, seven disorderly or disturbance calls, one domestic disturbance, eight suspicious incidents and three thefts. Officers also conducted five welfare checks.

As of Tuesday morning, the county jail held 110 inmates (103 for felonies and seven for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 122 inmates at various detention facilities. There are 86 clients serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 51 are on PBT (Personal Breath Test), 21 are on SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet), seven are on GPS and seven are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 337 clients.
