  • At 1:36 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Euclid Avenue for a traffic complaint concerning erratic driving and the driver possibly being intoxicated. The officer located the vehicle. Investigation into the traffic complaint led to the 50-year-old female driver being placed under arrest for DUI (third offense), aggravated DUI (third offense) and driving while suspended when exiting a private drive. She was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 3:49 p.m., an officer took a report of a burglary to a residence that occurred in the 1300 block of 9th Avenue. This case is active.
  • At 4:34 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of Prospect for a report of a male in this area that had a warrant for his arrest. Investigation into the matter led to a 19-year-old male being placed under arrest for an outstanding arrest warrant out of Helena Municipal Court. He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 5:38 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Billings Avenue and Gibbon Street. Investigation into the traffic stop led to an 18-year-old male passenger being issued citations for possession of dangerous drugs (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The 18-year-old female driver was issued a citation for driving without proper vehicle registration. Both individuals that received citations were referred to Helena Municipal Court. 
  • At 7:08 p.m., an officer took a report of a criminal mischief to a vehicle that was parked in the 200 block of Willowbrook Drive.

As of Tuesday morning, the county jail held 100 inmates (91 for felonies and nine for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 110 inmates at various detention facilities. One hundred and one clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 54 are on Personal Breath Test, 31 are on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, five are on GPS, and 11 are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is working with 286 clients.
