  • At 11:21 a.m., an officer took a report of a theft at a business in the 2700 block of Prospect Avenue. Investigation into the theft led to a 34-year-old male being issued a citation for misdemeanor theft. He was referred to Helena Municipal Court.
  • At 11:21 a.m., an officer took a report of a theft to a business in the 3300 block of Dredge Drive. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 12:08 p.m., an officer took a report of a person being disorderly in the 1900 block of 9th Avenue. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 2:28 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 0 block of N. Benton Avenue for a report of a male at this location with a valid arrest warrant out of Great Falls. Upon arrival, the officer located a 30-year-old male and placed him under arrest for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 6:16 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Euclid Avenue for a report of a possible intoxicated driver in this area. The officer was able to locate the vehicle. Investigation into the call for service led to a 41-year-old male being placed under arrest for DUI (sixth offense), aggravated DUI, driving revoked and no insurance (second offense). He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.

March 7

  • At 1:24 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Euclid Avenue for a report of a possible intoxicated driver in this area. The officer was able to locate the vehicle. Investigation into the call for service led to a 23-year-old male being placed under arrest for DUI (first offense), aggravated DUI, possession of dangerous drugs (medication). He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.

  • At 2:44 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the area of the Benton railroad tracks for a report of a juvenile male in this area that had possibly been consuming alcohol. The officers located the juvenile male and he was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol. He was released into the custody of his parent and was referred to Helena Municipal Court.
  • At 6:04 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 40 block of Cloverview Drive for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation into the disturbance led to no charges being filed at this time.
  • At 7:24 a.m., an officer took a report of a theft from a vehicle that was parked in the 1200 block of N. Montana Avenue.

As of Thursday morning, the county jail held 85 inmates (78 for felonies and seven for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 100 inmates at various detention facilities. One-hundred-one clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 56 are on Personal Breath Test, 30 are on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, eight are on GPS, and seven are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 286 clients.
