  • At 1:03 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 1900 block of Missoula Avenue. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 55-year-old man was placed under arrest for DUI (first offense) and aggravated DUI.
  • At 1:32 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of National and Lyndale avenues. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 31-year-old man was cited for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanors) and released.
  • At 8:30 a.m., an officer responded to the 2700 block of Colonial Drive for a report of a disorderly male. There is suspect information and the case is active.
  • At 9:13 a.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of Euclid Avenue for a report of a fraudulent check. There is suspect information and the case is active.
  • At 9:56 a.m., an officer spoke with a complainant concerning criminal mischief to a vehicle that occurred during the night. The case is active.
  • At 11:04 a.m., an officer spoke with a complainant concerning an attempted theft. The case is active.
  • At 1:25 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Street for a report of a vehicle that had struck multiple vehicles. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 69-year-old man was placed under arrest for DUI (first offense), unsafe lane change, red light violation, careless driving, two counts of failure to report accident and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
  • At 1:36 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 3100 block of Montana Avenue for a report of a suspicious vehicle. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 56-year-old man was placed under arrest for DUI (third offense) and aggravated DUI.
  • At 2:23 p.m., an officer responded to the 900 block of Jackson Street for a report of a theft. There is suspect information and the case is active.
  • At 2:52 p.m., an officer made contact with a male in the 1700 block of Cedar Street who had a confirmed warrant for his arrest. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 34-year-old man was placed under arrest for the warrant.
  • At 6:04 p.m., an officer responded to the 2700 block of Prospect Avenue for a report of a theft that had occurred earlier. There is suspect information and the case is active.
  • At 8:26 p.m., an officer responded to the 2400 block of Belt View Drive for a report of a disturbance. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 31-year-old man was placed under arrest for a violation of a no contact order.
  • At 8:52 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of Rodney Street for a report of a theft that had occurred earlier. There is suspect information and the case is active.
  • At 9:11 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of 11th Avenue for a report of an accident. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 27-year-old man was placed under arrest for DUI (first offense), aggravated DUI and careless driving.

Officers responded to 95 calls for service on Wednesday, which included six accidents, six thefts, eight suspicious circumstances, nine disorderly/disturbances and four warrant calls.

As of Thursday morning, the county jail held 108 inmates (94 for felonies and 14 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 122 inmates at various detention facilities. There are 116 clients serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 66 are on Personal Breath Test, 34 are on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, four are on GPS and 12 are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 287 clients.
