Oct. 26

  • At 8:44 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of N. Montana Avenue for a report of a male in this area that was trespassing. Investigation into the matter led to a 24-year-old male being placed under arrest for two outstanding warrants out of Great Falls Municipal Court, misdemeanor theft, misdemeanor trespassing to a motor vehicle and possession of dangerous drugs (marijuana). He was booked into the LCSO Jail.
  • At 4:23 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a business in the 2700 block of Prospect Avenue for a report of a male trespassing. Investigation into the trespassing led to a 59-year-old male being issued a citation for misdemeanor trespassing. He was referred to Helena Municipal Court.
  • At 4:34 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a business in the 3500 block of Ptarmigan Lane for a report of a theft. Investigation into the theft led to an 18-year-old female being issued a citation for misdemeanor theft. She was referred to Helena Municipal Court.
  • At 6 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 6th Avenue parking garage for a report of a small fire that was started in the stairwell. The Helena Fire Department had arrived on scene first and was able to extinguish the small fire. Investigation into the fire led to a 32-year-old female being placed under arrest for misdemeanor negligent arson. She was booked into the LCSO Jail.

Oct. 27

  • At 12:35 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Neill Avenue and Park Avenue. The officer met with the driver of the vehicle and investigation into the traffic stop led to the 27-year-old male driver being placed under arrest for DUI (first offense). He was booked into the LCSO Jail.
  • At 1:48 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the area of 6th Avenue and Fuller Avenue. The officer met with the driver of the vehicle and investigation into the traffic stop led to the 22-year-old female driver being placed under arrest for DUI (first offense). She was booked into the LCSO Jail.

The Helena Police Department responded to 70 calls for service including: five noninjury crashes, two animal calls, two disorderly/disturbance calls, two domestic disturbances, three suspicious incidents, five thefts and four trespassing calls. Officers also conducted four welfare checks.
