  • At 12:57 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in a driveway near 6th Avenue and Davis Street. The male drive immediately got out of his vehicle and attempted to walk away. The officer attempted to detain the male and a short struggle ensued before the officer used a Taser to subdue the male. He was then arrested and transported to the LCSO jail. While at the jail, the male was tested for DUI based on signs of impairment. The 29-year-old Three Forks man was eventually booked for DUI, aggravated DUI and obstructing an officer.
  • At 5:09 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of North Davis for a report of a physical altercation between a male and female. Upon arrival, both parties were eventually located and interviewed. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 35-year-old Helena man was arrested for partner or family member assault. He was booked into the LCSO jail.

The Helena Police Department responded to 63 calls for service on Saturday. Of those calls, they responded to three vehicle crashes, four theft calls, seven welfare checks, seven suspicious circumstance calls and conducted 12 traffic stops.
