  • At 4:23 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Prospect for a report of a female shoplifter. The officer arrived and located/identified the suspect. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 23-year-old Helena woman was cited for theft. She was referred to Municipal Court.
  • At 6:41 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 10 block of E 16th Avenue for a report of a female trespassing. It was reported the female was attempting to get into the business and wouldn't leave. Officers located the 44-year-old Helena area woman and arrested her for trespassing. She was booked into the LCSO jail.
  • At 9:35 p.m., officers responded to the area of Roadrunner and Dredge Drive for a report of an injury accident involving a motorcycle. When officers arrived, the male driver of the motorcycle demonstrated signs of impairment. The 61-year-old Helena man was tested for DUI and arrested. He was booked into the LCSO jail for DUI and aggravated DUI.
  • Officers responded to the 2700 block of Prospect for a welfare check on a couple living in a camper. The couple were identified and it was discovered the female had an active warrant for her arrest. The 42-year-old Helena area woman was arrested for the warrant and booked into the LCSO jail.

The Helena Police Department responded to 112 calls for service. Of those calls, they responded to three vehicle crashes, 10 animal calls, two theft calls, three trespassing complaints, seven welfare Checks, 13 suspicious circumstance calls and conducted eight traffic stops.
