  • At 12:35 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Neill and Park avenues. The officer met with the driver of the vehicle and investigation into the traffic stop led to the 27-year-old male driver being placed under arrest for DUI (first offense). He was booked into the LCSO Jail.
  • At 1:48 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the area of 6th and Fuller avenues. The officer met with the driver of the vehicle and investigation into the traffic stop led to the 22-year-old female driver being placed under arrest for DUI (first offense). She was booked into the LCSO Jail.

The Helena Police Department responded to 51 calls for service including: three noninjury crashes, two animal calls, two assaults, five disorderly/disturbance calls, two suspicious incidents, one theft, three trespassing calls and four welfare checks.

As of Monday morning, the county jail held 110 inmates (97 for felonies and 13 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 123 inmates at various detention facilities. Eighty-one clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 51 are on PBT (Personal Breath Test), 15 are on SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet), seven are on GPS and eight are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 343 clients.
