  • At 12:41 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft of a cellphone that occurred in the 1900 block of North Oakes Street.
  • At 12:46 p.m., an officer took a report of credit card fraud.
  • At 2:06 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Broadway Street for a report of a domestic disturbance that occurred earlier in the week. Investigation into the disturbance led to no charges being filed at this time.
  • At 2:06 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Broadwater Circle for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation into the disturbance led to an 18-year-old man being placed under arrest for partner or family member assault (first offense). He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 3:08 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft from a business located in the 600 block of North Montana Avenue. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 6:02 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 500 block of North Last chance Gulch for a report of a man in this area that possibly had a warrant for his arrest. The officer located the man in the area and subsequently placed a 57-year-old man under arrest for a valid District Court warrant. He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 8:14 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft from a business located in the 2900 block of North Sanders Street. Investigation into the theft led to a 22-year-old woman being issued a citation for misdemeanor theft. She was referred to Helena Municipal Court.

March 11

  • At 12:37 a.m., an officer took a report of a theft from a business located in the 2700 block of Prospect Avenue. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 2:55 a.m., an officer took a report of a criminal mischief to a vehicle that was parked in the 2400 block of Broadway Street.
  • At 7:25 a.m., an officer took a report of credit card fraud. An unknown person had used the complainant’s credit card number fraudulently.

As of Monday morning, the county jail held 92 inmates (83 for felonies and nine for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 113 inmates at various detention facilities. There are 101 clients serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 56 are on Personal Breath Test, 32 are on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, six are on GPS and seven are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 288 clients.
