  • At 2:09 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Lyndale Avenue and Washington Street. The male driver demonstrated signs of impairment and was tested for DUI. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 31-year-old Helena man was arrested for DUI and booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 8:13 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1900 block of Prospect Avenue for a report of a male passed out in a vehicle. The vehicle was located and the male driver was identified. The driver demonstrated signs of impairment and was tested for DUI. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 59-year-old Helena man was arrested for DUI and booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 3 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Last Chance Gulch for a report of a male refusing to pay for services he was provided. The 33-year-old Helena male suspect was identified and cited for theft of services. He was referred to Municipal Court.
  • At 4:51 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of East Custer Avenue for a report of a female at a business with an active arrest warrant. The 26-year-old Helena-area female was identified and arrested for the warrant. She was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 8:47 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of North Montana Avenue for a report of a physical altercation between a male and female. Officers arrived and met with both involved parties. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 39-year-old Helena woman was arrested for partner or family member assault. She was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.

The Helena Police Department responded to 58 calls for service on Sunday. Of those calls, they responded to four vehicle crashes, five animal calls, six theft calls, two welfare checks and conducted 13 traffic stops.

As of Monday morning, the county jail held 106 inmates (94 for felonies and 12 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 115 inmates at various detention facilities. Eighty-three clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 44 are on Personal Breath Test, 30 are on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, three are on GPS and six are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 300 clients.
