- At 1:46 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Park and Placer. The officer made contact with the female driver, who demonstrated signs of impairment. The 28-year-old Helena woman was tested for DUI and arrested. She was booked into the LCSO jail.
- At 2:35 p.m., an officer responded to the area of North Benton and Grizz Avenue for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. The officer located the female suspect and noticed signs of impairment. The 53-year-old Helena woman was tested for DUI and arrested. She was booked into the LCSO jail for Expired Registration, DUI (3rd) and Aggravated DUI.
- At 3:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 10 block of East Lyndale Avenue for a report of two shoplifters that had fled the scene. The suspects, a 28-year-old Helena area man and a 21-year-old Helena area woman, were located and cited for theft. They were referred to Municipal Court.
The Helena Police Department responded to 100 calls for service. Of those calls, they responded to 7 Animal calls, 5 theft calls, 9 welfare Checks, 12 Suspicious Circumstance calls and conducted 24 traffic stops.
As of Monday morning, the county jail held 108 inmates (93 for felonies and 15 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 118 inmates at various detention facilities. 109 clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 70 are on PBT (Personal Breath Test), 30 are on SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet), 5 are on GPS, and 4 are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 317 clients.
