  • At 8:42 a.m., an officer took a report of a theft that occurred in the 100 block of Valley Drive.
  • At  11:09 a.m., an officer was notified that a male who was currently incarcerated in the LCSO Jail, had an active arrest warrant. The 55 year old male was served the outstanding arrest warrant out of Helena District Court. He remained in the custody of the LCSO Jail.
  • At  1:10 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft that occurred at a business in the 2700 block of Prospect Avenue. This case is active.
  • At  2:27 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft that occurred at a business in the 600 block of North Montana Avenue. This case is active.
  • At  3:35 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft of license plates off of a vehicle that was parked in the 1300 block of Billings Avenue.
  • At  4:59 p.m.,  an officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Cannon Street for a report of a male in this area that was in violation of his probation status. Investigation into the matter led to a 60 year old male being placed under arrest for Probation Violation and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (marijuana pipe). He was booked into the LCSO Jail.
  • At  6:42 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft of a power tool that occurred in the 3200 block of Hwy 12 East.
  • At  6:59 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft that occurred at a business in the 600 block of North Montana Avenue. This case is active.
  • At  7:37 p.m.,  an officer took a report of a theft that occurred in the 100 block of Valley Drive.
  • At  10:41 p.m.,  an officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Oakwood Lane for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation into the matter led to a 16-year-old male being issued a citation for PFMA (1st offense). He was referred to Juvenile Probation.
  • At  11:15 p.m.,  an officer was dispatched to the 20 block of South Ewing Street for a report of a disturbance. Investigation into the matter led to no charges being filed at this time.

May 24

  • At 1 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the area of Montana  and Livingston avenues. Investigation into the traffic stop led to the 20-year-old male driver and the 18-year-old male passenger being issued citations for Possession of Dangerous Drugs (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were referred to Helena Municipal Court.

As of Friday morning, the county jail held 91 inmates (86 for felonies and 5 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 119 inmates at various detention facilities. 101 clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 54 are on PBT (Personal Breath Test), 31 are on SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet), 5 are on GPS, and 11 are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 286 clients.
