- At 10:11 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Billings Avenue concerning a disturbance. After investigation, officers arrested a 51-year-old Helena male for first offense driving under the influence, violation of a no-contact order and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the detention center.
- At 2:52 a.m., officers were called to a business in the 1100 block of West Custer concerning a disorderly male. Officers arrested the 37-year-old Helena male for second offense driving under the influence and aggravated DUI. He was booked at the detention center.
- At 11:17 a.m., an officer investigated a theft from a business in the 600 block of North Montana Avenue. The business reported a theft of about $100 of alcohol. The officer is attempting to identify the suspects.
- At 8:02 p.m., an officer investigated a complaint of a disorderly male at a business in the 1600 block of Prospect Avenue. The suspect has been identified and will be cited for disorderly conduct when located.
Over the past week, Helena PD officers responded to 547 calls for service, including 24 traffic crashes, 36 animal-related calls, 30 assaults, disturbance, disorderly subject calls and 12 criminal mischief or vandalism incidents.
As of Friday morning, the county jail held 88 inmates (81 for felonies and seven for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 103 inmates at various detention facilities. 99 clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 51 are on Personal Breath Test, 32 are on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, four are on GPS, and 12 are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 293 clients.
