A 29-year-old Helena man was arrested in Las Vegas Wednesday after making a series of threats to Helena law enforcement and citizens.
Jared Michael Schoebel was taken into custody after the Helena Police Department, Las Vegas Metro Police Department, Montana Analysis and Technical Information Center and FBI determined Schoebel's location.

Schoebel was served with multiple Nevada arrest warrants and also has a $30,000 warrant for his arrest out of Lewis and Clark County. He is also a Montana probation absconder.
Schoebel might be transferred back to Helena, assistant police chief Steven Hagen said, but that will depend on where charges will be filed.
The Helena Police Department was involved in the investigation in the last few days, Hagen said. He said in a press release that "we would like to thank all the citizens that contacted us and reported Schoebel’s threats and social media posts."
The FBI is currently investigating Schoebel's threats, but charges have yet to be filed.
