Small acts of kindness matter.
Governor Bullock and Budget Director Villa took my call asking them to do a photo with my daughter. She had just won “Bill of the Year” at Youth Legislature but the announcement was overlooked at the closing ceremony. They had packed schedules but responded, “Can she be here in twenty minutes?” My stunned daughter flew up to their offices for the photo.
Thank you, Governor Bullock and Budget Director Villa. You created a life-long memory for my daughter of the award and of the kindness and interest you showed.
This reminded me of meeting Rob Quist a few years ago. We had in common that our daughters were working in the very tough music industry. Without hesitation, he gave me his daughter’s cell phone number so we could put the girls in touch. Another small act of kindness.
How do we decide who to vote for? Using the measure of kind and interested, and his commitment to all Montanans to protect public lands and access to healthcare, we can’t go wrong with Rob Quist for Congress and I was glad to mark my ballot for him as I mailed it in.
