As the coordinators of the Spirit of Service (SOS) Program, we would like to thank SOS partners for their service to the Helena area community. Over 500 volunteers were out on May 18 and 22 sprucing up or completely transforming 55 homes of seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.
SOS started in the year 2000 with Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co., P.C. and Rocky Mountain Development Council, Inc. developing a plan to help seniors be able to stay in their homes. This year was the eighteenth year of SOS and we had over 500 volunteers representing nearly 30 local businesses, agencies, and not-for-profits.
Thank you for your helping make Helena such a great community: Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co., P.C., 360 Office Solutions, AAA Mountain West, A-1 Rentals, Allegra Print & Imaging, American Chemet Corporation, Browning, Kaleczyc, Berry & Hoven, P.C., the City of Helena, Employee Benefit Resources, First Interstate Bank, Helena Association of Realtors, The Home Depot, Lewis & Clark County, Litt’l Johns Septic Service, Montana Department of Revenue, Montana Hospital Association, Morrison Maierle, Inc., NorthWestern Energy, Opportunity Bank of Montana, PayneWest Insurance, Point S (J&J Tire & Auto Service and Capital City Tire & Auto Service), Power Townsend, Rocky Mountain Credit Union, Sodexo, St. Peter’s Hospital, Stockman Bank, Tri-County Disposal, Universal Athletic, VA Montana Health Care System, and Valley Bank of Helena.
P.S. One little correction to the great story in the IR from May 19 – SOS has raised $200,000 since its inception in 2000; not all in 2016.
