Three Dog Night, which had more top 10 hits than any other musical group from 1969 to 1974, will perform in Helena this winter.
The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Dec. 28 at the Helena Civic Center.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Ticket costs range from $45 to $85 and are available in person at the Civic Center Box Office, by calling 406-447-8481, and online at HelenaCivicCenter.com or KnittingFactory.com.
This Grammy-nominated band has sold tens of millions of records through the years. However, a press release from the Helena Civic Center says the group is not resting on its legacy and has sold well over 1 million copies of releases from this decade alone.
Recently, Three Dog Night began adding new songs to its arsenal by releasing its first double-A sided single in nearly 25 years. The performance of "Heart Of Blues" and the a-cappella ballad "Prayer of the Children” are available online at iTunes, Amazon and other digital retailers as well as through the official band website (www.threedognight.com).
Since 1986, the band has performed over 2,200 shows including two Super Bowls.
Three Dog Night now maintains a year-round touring schedule that includes more than 70 dates a year. The hit-filled concerts are performed for generation-spanning audiences by Danny Hutton (founder/lead vocalist) and Michael Allsup (guitar), Paul Kingery (bass/vocals), Pat Bautz (drums), Howard Laravea (keyboards) and David Morgan (vocals).
