A female youth climber attempts Route #43 during Stonetree's bouldering competition in 2017.

Stonetree Climbing Center is holding a fundraiser for Kaylene Murphy, a Helena native who was badly injured in a climbing accident near Big Timber in June.

Barb Wetherill, owner and manager of Stonetree, said from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, part of the proceeds from Stonetree and any donations will be sent directly to Murphy's rehabilitation fund to help pay for her treatment in Salt Lake City, including gas and food costs.

Wetherill said Stonetree had already received some local donations.

"We're hoping to make a lot of money so we can give a lot of money," she said.
