Staff from Child and Family Services and Reach Higher Montana partnered Tuesday to put together 25 care packages for youth currently or previously in foster care who are pursuing postsecondary education and receiving an Education and Training Voucher. Eligible youth are able to receive a voucher for up to $5,000 per year to offset costs relating to postsecondary education. The care package effort is part of the annual Red Scarf Project. The two groups have been collecting homemade red scarves and other items for the care packages this holiday season. Those pictured include Staci Blankenship of CFSD and Rhonda Stafford, Kelly Cresswell, Lisa Leland and Marti Johnson of Reach Higher.
