On February 20th, Mark Alan Rychalski, a loving son, brother, father, and friend slipped away peacefully in the loving arms of his family. He passed too soon and left the world a little less bright.
Mark Alan was born April 11, 1960 in Topeka, Kansas to parents Richard and June Rychalski. In 1962 the family moved to Libby, Montana and later to Helena, Montana where he enjoyed the pleasures of hunting, fishing, motorcycles and good friends. He graduated from Helena High School and being a “car guy” was immediately drawn to the auto machinist industry where he worked for many years.
Mark had a sense of humor like no other and would put a smile on everyone’s face no matter what the occasion. Mark was an avid sports fan who never gave up on the New York Jets. Mark’s life centered around his children, who he loved deeply.
Mark struggled with a debilitating condition but was determined to remain independent which he did under extremely difficult circumstances.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Rychalski of San Diego and three sons, all of Spokane, Travis (Ashley), Conner, and Jakob; beloved grandchildren Malakhi, Aaden, Tallon and Holland; his parents, Richard and June Rychalski of East Helena, Montana; his sister, Amy Mayther, Spokane; brothers Rex Rychalski of Spokane and Jon (Coleene) Rychalski of Alexandria, Virginia, numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend Curt Copeland of Washington, D.C.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Susan Rychalski McDowell. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced in the spring to enable out of town relatives to attend. Please make inquiries about the memorial to ARMayther@gmail.com.
