Richard Lippincott passed away on April 29, 2019 in Helena.
He was born on August 1, 1931 in Coatesville, PA. After graduating from Radnor high school in Pennsylvania, Dick attended the University of Colorado. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and opened a photography studio in Polson in the early 70s.
Dick arrived in Helena in 1986, building a strong reputation as a remodeler and custom wood worker, as well as becoming known for his in-depth knowledge of history, politics, jazz, and art. Many Helena residents have also shared stories of Dick providing invaluable assistance with complicated restoration projects over the years.
He is survived by sons Miles and Matt, granddaughter Viktoria, and sister Marty. Friends are invited to a memorial gathering at Miller’s Crossing, 52 S Park Avenue, on Saturday, May 18th, at 2 PM.
