On the night of September 6th, 2017, Fae Lamb passed away peacefully of natural causes, surrounded by family. She was 92 years old.
Fae was born in Helena, Montana, on April 13th, 1925. She was the eighth child of Dr. William Hunter and his wife Florine.
Fae graduated from Helena High School in 1943 and later attended Principia College in Elsah, Illinois, graduating in 1948 with a degree in Art. She married Donald Lamb of Spokane, Washington, in August 1950. After briefly living in Helena, Fae and Donald moved to southern California where they both taught elementary school for many years. Fae and Donald raised two boys in California, often returning to Helena for long summer vacations.
After Donald passed on in 1995, Fae returned to Helena to live with her sister, Agnes Hunter. Sons David and Douglas eventually moved to Helena to be near family, Douglas with his wife Lolita and son Donald.
Fae was a life-long Christian Scientist and a member of the Christian Science Mother Church in Boston, as well as a member of the Christian Science branch church in Helena.
Fae was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her father William, mother Florine, sisters Janet, Margaret (Peggy) and brothers Lloyd, Robert, Dan and William.
Fae is survived by her sons, David and Douglas Lamb, her daughter-in-law Lolita Lamb, grandson Donald Lamb and her sister, Agnes Hunter.
