Chaffin, Todd Andrew

Nov. 13, 1966 - Sept. 8, 2019

Todd Andrew Chaffin, 52, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019. He suffered a heart attack at his home and was transported to Honor Health Dear Valley where he later died from the traumatic episode. Todd was born in Helena, Montana on November 13, 1966 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Todd was a graduate of Jefferson County High School, Class of 1985. Following graduation, he joined the Army Reserve where he served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

Todd worked with his father Chuck and learned the construction business in Helena after various other jobs.

In 1994, Todd relocated to Phoenix where he continued working with his dad. He had many years in construction and was in his 18th year at MGC Contractors as a Heavy Machine and Crane Operator until his death.

October of 1999 at a neighborhood Halloween party, Todd met his future wife, Tina Anderson. They were married on April 22, 2006. Todd and Tina made their forever home in the neighborhood where they met and enjoyed 13 married years and almost 20 years together total! They had many furbabies through the years that kept them both very busy and very happy.

Even though Todd did not have any of his own children, he had many nieces and nephews that he adored and they him. Several whom he converted to Steeler fans! All the neighborhood children fondly called him “Uncle Todd”. He always had a hand to walk someone across the street, give a hug or just sit and play.

Todd had love and passion for many things beside his friends and family. The Pittsburgh Steelers were his ultimate team and he looked forward to Sundays where he spent many of them in the neighborhood watching the game with his fellow Steeler Fans. He also loved NASCAR and anything racing. When it wasn’t football season, you could find Todd enjoying many other sports.

Todd participated in one of the Spartan races and in a bike race at the Rock N’ Roll Marathon. He was ready to try just about anything and was always up for an adventure!

Todd also had many hobbies and a passion for cool gadgets! He had at least three different drones, each with more bells and whistles. He enjoyed filming his job sites and posting them online for all to see. Once, he built a “boom box” on wheels that he would bring to the neighborhood parties. It was a big hit for all, especially the kids!

Todd is survived by his: wife, Tina of 13 years; parents, Chuck and Diane Chaffin; his brother, Tate Chaffin (Julie) and his children, Beth, Justin, Jessica, and Bailey; sister, Jodi Chaffin and her children, Julia-Lane and Britta; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Leif Anderson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Alyssa and Kenny Conner.
