Lowe’s is looking for at least 30 people to fill winter and spring positions.
From part-time to full-time, from cashiers to receivers, from stockers to assemblers, on-the-spot interviews and hiring for seasonal employees will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lowe’s in Helena, 3291 N. Sanders St.
Five computers will be dedicated for applying that day, said John Brown, assistant store manager. Extra managers will be on hand to do nothing but interview and hire. It will be possible to leave the store, job offer in hand.
Brown said working at Lowe’s is a nice, family atmosphere. Associates are friendly and go out of their way for each other and for customers.
Pay begins at $12.69 an hour. Seasonal employees are not eligible for benefits, however, seasonal employees who become permanent employees will able to use their seasonal start date as their official start date.
Already, Brown said, there are several early applications being considered. About 22 people were hired through this process last year.
“We could have used more,” Brown said.
Interested people can apply online, jobs.lowes.com, and show up in person.
Lowe's is hiring about 50,000 people across more than a thousand stores, so if an applicant wants to move to and work in, say, Bozeman or Missoula, there would be many opportunities.
